I offer child, adolescent and family counseling in a private practice in Nashville, Tennessee.   I specialize in children and young adults, ages 2-18, with psychological, learning and behavior  problems.  I  work with children individually and also provide family counseling.  I also specialize in testing and assessment services for children, adolescents and adults.

I am very passionate about helping my clients become more self-aware and achieve personal growth. I work with my clients to help them understand the challenges they face and help them to build coping skills so that they are able to succeed and thrive. In my work, I like to be empathetic and compassionate, yet bring humor and fun into the room when appropriate.  I view therapy as a collaborative process, and use a variety of evidence-based treatments that have a track record of success.

I received my B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Psychology, an M.S. in Counseling from Loyola University, and a Ph.D. from Florida State University in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology.  I completed my residency at the Hamilton Center’s Child and Adolescent Services program in Terre Haute, Indiana, and completed my post-doctoral fellowship from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.

I have appeared as an "expert on issues of child psychology" on many local news stations, including Newschannel 5, Fox 17 and WKRN News 2.
